At Seton Medical Center Williamson, we believe lifelong fitness begins with a healthy passion that ignites your mind, challenges your body, and rejuvenates your spirit. We also realize that juggling the demands of work and family can sometimes push your fitness goals to the backburner.
The Ignite Women's Health program is a great opportunity to light up your personal fitness goals. You'll receive guidance from experienced fitness experts along with planned work-out sessions alongside motivated women. You'll also have access to free health seminars to aid your personal health goals. The program offers a 5K Training Program or Boot Camp. Or you can choose to do both!
The Ignite 5K Training Program is designed to help you -- regardless of your fitness level -- reach your goals in just 12 weeks and get you ready for the Ignite 5K to be held on Saturday, June 12 at Seton Medical Center Williamson in Round Rock.
Through 12 weekly sessions with RunTex coaches, you'll tailor a walking, jogging or running program that will help you build strength, confidence and endurance.
Training is 9-10:00 a.m. every Saturday, beginning March 27 and ending with the Ignite 5K on June 12. Training will be held at Brushy Creek Sports Park (Map & Directions).
The six-week Ignite Boot Camp, led by the CHASCO Family YMCA, is designed for someone who's already physically active and is ready to mix things up.
Boot Camp is an outdoor physical fitness class that incorporates the environment to create a workout. The class will use grass for rolling, jumping and running, rocks for strength training and hills and unstable surfaces to incorporate balance and agility. The workouts require you to run, squat, jump, push-up, sit-up and sometimes pull heavy objects like tires.
This outdoor physical fitness class will improve your cardiovascular endurance, strength, agility, coordination and flexibility. All you need is a good pair of outdoor running or cross-training shoes and a mat.
Recommended Fitness Level: Boot Camp is not recommended if you are not already engaged in regular physical activity or if you have trouble with your back, knees or hips.
There are two boot camp sessions offered. Workouts for each session will be held at Seton Medical Center Williamson located at the intersection of University Blvd. and FM 1460 in Round Rock.
Session 1: March 23 through April 29, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6-7:00 p.m.
Session 2: May 4 through June 10, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6-7:00 p.m.
