The six-week Ignite Boot Camp, led by the CHASCO Family YMCA, is designed for someone who's already physically active and is ready to mix things up.
Boot Camp is an outdoor physical fitness class that incorporates the environment to create a workout. The class will use grass for rolling, jumping and running, rocks for strength training and hills and unstable surfaces to incorporate balance and agility. The workouts require you to run, squat, jump, push-up, sit-up and sometimes pull heavy objects like tires.
This outdoor physical fitness class will improve your cardiovascular endurance, strength, agility, coordination and flexibility. All you need is a good pair of outdoor running or cross-training shoes and a mat.
Recommended Fitness Level: Boot Camp is not recommended if you are not already engaged in regular physical activity or if you have trouble with your back, knees or hips.
Participants will meet May 4 through June 10 on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6-7:00 p.m. Workouts will be held at Seton Medical Center Williamson located at the intersection of University Blvd. and FM 1460 in Round Rock.
Cost is $40. Space is limited to 50 participants per session, so register today!
