Driskill Chef David Bull and Uchi Chef Tyson Cole Face-off to Benefit the Sustainable Food Center and the Meals on Wheels and More
The Seton Family of Hospitals introduces GoodHealth.com, a free Web site dedicated to providing Central Texans with everything they need to know about healthy living – from nutrition and fitness, to mind and body. To launch the Web site, Seton has partnered with H-E-B to present the GoodHealth.com Healthy Chef Showdown. It’s a free, family friendly event to take place at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at the Austin Farmers’ Market at Republic Square Park.
At the Healthy Chef Showdown, the Driskill Hotel’s David Bull and Uchi’s Tyson Cole are facing off – “Iron Chef” style with a healthy twist. The chefs’ challenge? Create the tastiest healthy meal using a secret theme ingredient and groceries provided by H-E-B. Jamie and Bobby Deen from the Food Network’s “Road Tasted” will emcee the event. A panel of celebrity judges will choose their favorite recipes to be posted on www.goodhealth.com.
The Healthy Chef Showdown will benefit The Sustainable Food Center and the Meals on Wheels and More. The Austin Farmers' Market is a project of the Sustainable Food Center, which will launch the Farmers’ Market Food Stamp Initiative on October 21.
