Answer

Felines (Cats) cannot contract Strep. Some children that get recurrent Strep throat become what is know as "carriers." They can be evaluated to determine if there is a need for a prolonged course of antibiotics and sometimes will need to be evaluated for a tonsillectomy. But the cat can stay!
