Answer

Seasonal allergies are caused by a nasal reaction to small airborne particles called allergens - typically pollens from trees, grasses, weeds, as well as molds, and fungi. Usually in Austin there are a fair amount of pollen and mold allergens.

Symptoms: Allergic Rhinitis(seasonal allergies) can cause a variety of annoying symptoms including sneezing, itching, nasal congestion, runny nose, and post nasal drip; however, many people also experience problems with their eyes, throat, ears, and sleeping.

Treatment: Nasal saline or steroid sprays and antihistamines. If symptoms are not responsive to medications then Immunotherapy (allergy shots) are a possible option.
